Juventus, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have all declared their interest in Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, who could be available for around €70m in the summer, according to reports from France.
The 21-year-old has built up a reputation as one of the brightest young prospects in European football in recent seasons. He’s a hugely important player for Lyon.
Aouar, 21, started 23 of Lyons 28 league matches this season. He has scored double figures in goal and assists. Scoring 9 and providing 7 assists.
Aouar is versatile, the Frenchman can play in central midfield, while he has also operated as a more attacking-midfielder as well as on the wing this season. Although he may be just 21, he has also captained Les Gones on multiple occasions, underlining his importance within the club.
His impressive form this season has caught the attention of European heavyweights. Juventus, Manchester City and PSG have emerged as the early contender for the signature of the highly rated youngster.
Lyon’s president Jean Michel Aulas has also admitted it will be tough to keep the player for another summer. He has also stated that he will consider doing business should any club offer €70 million for the player.
