Arsenal are interested in Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin. Mikel Arteta is planning a summer swoop for the winger and the club will make a substantial bid for the player in the summer transfer window.
According to a report, Arsenal have sent representatives to see the player at St James Park this season. The representatives are to submit a detailed report on the player before the club finally makes a move.
The Magpies signed the French winger from Nice for £16.2m last summer and he has established himself as a fan favourite on Tyneside, despite demonstrating a lack of consistency in front of goal.
Maximin, 22, has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 21 appearances this season for Steve Bruce men. He is very popular with the Newcastle fans.
The French international has enjoyed a good run of late. He was impressive in their 5th round FA Cup win over West Brom before scoring the only goal against Southampton during the weekend. The Magpies faithful will hope their number 10 will be able to keep his form of late.
Alongside Arsenal, Everton have also registered an interest in the player and according to sources from Goodison Park, the club will make a bid for the player in the summer.
