According to a report, Chelsea are considering an approach for Ajax and Cameroon shot-stopper Andre Onana this summer if they receive any decent offer for Kepa Arrizabalaga, following a difficult second season for the former Athletic Bilbao keeper.
Kepa unseated Alisson as the world’s most expensive keeper in August 2018 but despite showing some promise early on, the Spanish international has endured a poor second season in England.
He’s never been far from major error, and some highly questionable performances this season have compounded his club’s defensive woes.
Frank Lampard has been widely reported to be on the fence about the former Bilbao keeper, who has maintained his place between the sticks for all but four Epl matches this term.
Recent reports have put them in the frame for Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson, who continues to impress on loan at Sheffield United, while they are thought to hold a longstanding interest in Ajax’s Andre Onana.
Onana has also stated in the past that he welcomes a move to England, stating that playing for Chelsea will be a dream.
The Blues have a good relationship with the Dutch giant. Recently completed a deal for Hakim Ziyech, and they will hope to pounce again once they receive a good offer for Kepa.
