Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the club are relaxed about the future of fullback Ben Chilwell. The attacking fullback has been linked with a switch to Chelsea all summer.
However, there are no official bids from the London club though speculations continue to grow. Chilwell is viewed as one of the best fullbacks in England and Lampard is keen on his services.
There had been indications that Chilwell would be distracted with the speculations as the League resumes this weekend.
However, his manager believes that the defender is committed to the team’s cause and would be ready for the resumption.
“There’s no need to comment on it. He’s come back, he looks fantastic,” said Rodgers.
“He’s come back refreshed and in everything he’s done he’s looked exceptional.
Rodgers also admitted that the club was used to such speculations and he was relaxed that they would not be distracted.
“We’re relaxed on it. It’s a sequence the club is used to now, and when you have a talented group of players they’re going to make the headlines. But I’m pretty relaxed on it.”
Leicester are currently sitting pretty on the table on 3rd position and inching closer to securing a Champions League spot.
