West Ham have declared an interest in signing Atalanta defender Robin Gosens this summer. The Hammers could face a battle with other clubs for his signature. Gosens has attracted interest from Chelsea and Tottenham. Chelsea have made first enquiry about the player’s availability from Atalanta.
Gosens, 26, who plays as a left back – has scored an impressive ten goals in all competition this season and provided eight assists. The form that has understandably put his name on the lips of a number of clubs across Europe.
Gosens will not come cheap according to Atalanta. It will take a huge pay to orice him away from the club.
Should West Ham raise the necessary fund to sign Gosens, they will face competition from a number of Chelsea. Although the Blues have also been linked with Ben Chilwell and Nicolas Tagliafico of Leicester City and Ajax respectively.
Chelsea have been a long time admirer of the Leicester City man. According to a report, Chilwell is Chelsea’s first choice. But a move for Gosens is also a probability should the Foxes refuse to do business with the Blues.
