Reports from Spain claims that Liverpool have made an opening bid for Real Betis ace Aissa Mandi. The 28-year-old has been exceptional this season and is believed to have attracted the interest of several clubs.
It is understood that the Reds have made an opening bid of €10m bid in an attempt to sign the 28-year-old centre-back. The report goes on to add that Betis could be willing to part company with Mandi this summer, with the defender thought to have a €30m release clause.
Liverpool could well be in the market for a central defender this summer, after the departure of Dejan Lovren who left to sign for Zenit St Petersburg. Mandi’s versatility is believed to be an attractive proposition for the Reds, who value cover at the centre of defence, along with their fullbacks.
Arsenal are also thought to be interested in the defender who enjoyed a decent season despite Betis struggling in the League.
