Bayern Munich Midfielder Thiago Alcantara wants to play for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. His current manager Hansi Flick has hinted that Thiago Alcantara could be on his way to the Premier League amid repeated speculation of a move to Liverpool.
The Spain international is at Bayern Munich, but is unhappy at the German club, and wants to move this summer.
He is yet to commit to fresh terms with the German champions and has entered the final 12 months of his current contract. That as obviously placed Bayern in a difficult situation, with Flick conceding that Thiago appears ready to take on a new challenge in English football.
No deal for Thiago will be struck any time soon, as he remains part of Bayern’s bid for Champions League glory in 2019-20. He has already added another Bundesliga title and DFB-Pokal crown to his collection this term.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist, has reported lately that Alcantara wants the move to the Reds as he is interested in a new challenge. With a year left on his contract, Bayern want roughly £31 million for the former Barcelona player. “At the moment, the player would like to join Liverpool,” Romano told the Beautiful Game Podcast.
“He would like to change and go to the Premier League, he refused to extend his contract with Bayern Munich “The only club he wants to join is Liverpool. “He would love to play under Jurgen Klopp as manager, so he hopes it can be a possibility.
“Officially there have been no talks with Bayern Munich and they have received no bids for Thiago.”
