Dejan Lovren’s Liverpool career may finally be coming to a natural end. Widespread reports claim Zenit St Petersburg have approached the Reds about a deal.
The Russian giant also made an enquiry about the Croatia international during the transfer window. No deal was reached but it seems they are about to get their Man at the end of the season.
Lovren has been Liverpool’s third-most used centre-back this season. He is behind Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez in the Anfield pecking order.
Although he hasn’t started a league game since his nightmare showing against Watford. A match Liverpool were comprehensively beaten by struggling Watford.
Despite Jurgen Klopp’s rotation policy at Anfield since the EPL returned from suspension, the Croatian has featured just once, from the bench in the 0-0 draw against Everton.
