Manchester City are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake for a fee in the region of £35 million. The former Chelsea defender is heading the list of incoming defenders to the Etihad stadium.
The Citizens saw their Champions League ban completely overturned last week, and they are preparing a summer of spending ahead of their attempts to win the Epl title next season and possibly take a step forward in the quest to conquer Europe.
Ake, 25, was heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge last season. But no deal materialized. Bournemouth will most likely be relegated at the end of the season and City are ready to offer the Dutch defender another opportunity in the top flight.
City have been brilliant once this season especially in their attack, but defensive woes have caused them. They are ready to address the issue ahead of next season.
