According to reports from England Manchester City are hoping to celebrate overturning their European ban by tying manager Pep Guardiola down to a new deal.
Earlier this month the Court of Arbitration for Sport CAS ruled that the Citizens had not broken any Financial Fair Play regulations and therefore permitted Man City to compete in the Champions League, handing the Citizens a slap on the wrist €10m fine.
Guardiola has a year left on his contract and has often avoided questions about his immediate future. But City chiefs still remain keen to keep him and are eager to open negotiations about a possible renewal at the end of the season.
Man City will try and convince Guardiola by offering him a mighty war chest this summer. According to the Guardian City are ready to authorise a £150 million outlay this summer to try and ensure the team can compete with runaway title winners Liverpool next season.
Guardiola renewal will be another major victory for Man City after their victory at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
