Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli have told reporters that Manchester City target Fabian Ruiz is not for sale. Ruiz has been linked with a move away from Italy all season with Manchester City touted to be interested in the skilful midfielder.
Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have also expressed interest in the former Real Betis star. Ruiz has enjoyed a smooth transition to the Italian League since making the move in 2018.
His creative nous and dribbling ability has set him apart as a crucial first-team player for the Azurri. Napoli doesn’t want to lose the player and have placed a huge asking fee.
Giuntoli, when quizzed about the midfielder’s future, told Sky Sports Italia that the player would remain at the club. I think he will remain at Napoli, as he is happy here and gets along very well with Gennaro Gattuso.”
He also revealed that Ruiz has three years on his contract and Napoli are keen on tying him to a longterm deal. “Fabian has three years left on his contract and we’ll talk about a renewal next year,”
Ruiz is a quality talent and it is would be difficult for Napoli to refuse a decent bid for the Spanish international.
