Manchester United have accepted a deal to let highly rated stopper Dean Henderson complete the season at Sheffield United.
The 23 year old has been a revelation this season with impressive performances for the Blades.
With his loan deal set to expire on Tuesday, Sheffield have agreed an extension until the end of the season.
Sheffield released a statement to this effect on their website.
“Goalkeeper Dean Henderson will remain at Bramall Lane until the end of the season, after a deal was struck with Manchester United following prolonged discussions between the respective parties in recent weeks.
There have been much discussion at Old Trafford regarding the stopper given the average season of long-time stalwart David De Gea.
Henderson is seen as the Spaniard stopper replacement but there are speculations that United could sell to Sheffield in the summer with a buyback clause included in the deal.
Henderson staying until the end of the season is great news for the Blades who are in the run in for the Europa spots.
