Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Leicester City and are all showing an interest in Roma’s Amadou Diawara. The Giallorossi values the midfielder at around £27 million. A reasonable fee in an otherwise inflated market.
Diawara, 22, has struggled with injuries and fitness issues this season.
He has just 14 starts in Serie A so far. He recently returned to action when play got back underway in June after the Covid19 enforced break. Diawara initially struggled when he joined the capital based club, he has since gained confidence and put in impressive performances, most recently the last time out against Brescia.
Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is on the lookout for a central midfielder.
The Portuguese tactician has played Eric Dier in defence in recent times while Tanguy Ndombele has failed to impress his new boss. Mourinho has stated that the club needs to find a central midfielder and Diawara is now a realistic target.
Leicester City and Newcastle United have also shown serious interest in the Guinea international.
Diawara joined Roma last summer for around £18 million. But Roma are ready to listen to decent offers for the player.
