Everton and Tottenham are thought to be in the race for A.S Roma striker Patrik Schick. The forward has enjoyed a bright spell this season at German side, Leipzig. However, it appears that his future is uncertain following recent developments.
Italian tabloid Gazzetta dello Sport claims that RB Leipzig have decided against exercising their rights to sign the forward. Leipzig had the option of a €29m deal paid over two instalments or €27m immediately, but the Germans let that expire on June 15th.
However, it appears that the forward could be moving to England with Everton showing serious intent in the forward.
Schick is considered a versatile target man with the strength for hold up play and his deadly efficiency in front of goal. He was able to combine to devastating effect with German forward Timo Werner.
Tottenham are also interested in the forward as a backup option to star forward Harry Kane. Manager Jose Mourinho is understood to have demanded an additional forward ahead of next season as he plots a title challenge.
Roma are thought to value the forward at around £27 million and it would be interesting to see how this transfer pans out in the coming weeks.
